| I'm in a very awkward mood right now. I feel like eating nothing but cocunut popsicles that you buy from the vendors of the streets from those raggedy little bike-fridges. I feel like laying in the grass for a week straight without shoes or bathing. I sat next to a hundred year old church downtown today and studied labyrinths, then I walked one. There is a beautiful mysteriousness that is in God and it continues to bring me closer to him. My mind seems so one-track sometimes but I know that God has called me into the perfect loving community that is the Trinity. The world is busy and I hardly ever slow down, I walked the labyrinth and tried to settle my Spirit as the business of downtown Chicago exploded around me. It is amazing how quiet your mind and soul can get in the midst of worldly noise. Since the labyrinth this morning I have purposefully been ultra-relaxing today. I took a long walk, walked through a flower garden, played in a big puddle, ate a big lunch, shot a movie where i pick flowers and ride my bike, lounged on the grass with my friends in the park, laughed, and researched how to become a professional whistler- and apparently its a self proclaimed title. So now I shall be known as Justin Rose "Professional Whistler Extraordinaire". |
